Text 4 Jan Look up, damn it!

For all that humans have come in the last few centuries, it still startles me to think that people can be so incredibly ignorant to what’s around them. People like to shmutz around in little social bubbles where they occasionally climb into vehicles that can accelerate faster than any known living entity. Better yet, even though we possess the capability to physically reach any part of the globe in less than a day, people have the audacity to complain that their chariot in the fucking sky has been delayed by thirty minutes. How fucking tragic?

Anywho, the point is, very few people think outside of their sphere-dom. Thankfully, we have had people like Galileo Galilei and Nicolaus Copernicus to do so. If the airplane were around in their times, the thought to come to mind would be something like “I’M SITTING IN A SEAT. I’M SITTING….. IN A SEAT….. IN THE MOTHERFUCKING SKY” as opposed to “My seat-back touchscreen keeps freezing and the in-sky wi-fi is too fucking slow”.

(^thanks to Louis CK for the paraphrase)
